Some events are starting this evening so you’ll have to get your skates on but here is our roundup of the events going on around the Fylde coast this weekend. Some might involve a little travelling but thats ok right?

St Annes Music and Arts Festival 2019

Three days of Family Friendly Music, Arts and fun at St Annes Music and Arts Festival 2019. Music on two stages, stalls and artists to visit. 26, 27, 28 July 2019

It’s A Gallery returns to Blackpool in a new location.
It’s A Gallery is a pop up exhibition space in a currently empty retail space in St. Johns Square, Blackpool. The project is being run by creative organisation Arrested ReDevelopment as part of their drive to give local independent artists the opportunity to exhibit work and utilise empty spaces in the area.

Walk the lift hill of one of the world’s tallest roller coasters on an escorted climb to the 235ft summit.

Friday Night on The Western Train
7PM – 9PM – Blackpool Heritage Tram Tour stop – Tickets from (here)
Have a tour along the Promenade and Coastline between Pleasure Beach and Little Bispham on the fabulous Western Train Tram. You can board at any Heritage Tram Stop (Pleasure Beach, Tower & North Pier, Cabin and Bispham) See the poster for times. The tour takes 1 hour. Cost is £5.50 adult / £3 child / under 5’s free. A special advance purchase family ticket is available online, individual adult and child tickets can be purchased on the night on board. Heritage day Travelcards are valid on this tour.

Cumbria Steam Gathering 27th-28th July
9AM – 5PM Sunday – Flookburgh
Cumbria Steam Gathering which takes place annually over the last weekend in July. Our home since 1986 has been Cark Airfield, Flookburgh, Grange over Sands LA11 7LS
10AM – 4PM – St. Annes YMCA
This year YMCA Fylde Coast and the YMCA Your Move team will be hosting a family fun day packed with activities and a mix of local culture to celebrate YMCA’s landmark 175th anniversary year.
We are glad to be able to bring this event to Lytham at our very own Seafield Road venue and with FREE ENTRY we can’t wait to see everyone get moving and enjoying themselves!

Delighted to have Pete Bromage on board as he’s fast my becoming one of the 1st names on a trance event, once again appearing at creamfields this year and deservedly so as he is one of the best set builders around and typifies the “taking you on a journey through music” set,
With him we have the lads Lee Thompson,Michael Sheedy and Ben Jones, better known for smashing out amazing sets for Blueprint,it’s a pleasure to have them as our Follow Trance residents and no doubt will have the crowd in the palm of their hands,
Gaz Peck will be doing a 20 years of trance set to reminisce and bring back some awesome clubbing memories,
Chris Callaghan will be making his debut set for us, pulling out some harder classics to get the crowd right at it,
Come celebrate 20 years of trance with us and let the good times roll,

Blackpool RNLI Free Family Fun Day 2019
10 AM – 4 PM – RNLI Blackpool, Lifeboat Station – Promenade
Come & meet our amazing RNLI volunteers, explore our lifeboats, learn all about our awesome launch & recovery vehicles, find out how to stay safe on the beach, play games, enjoy live music and much much more.
This year we will have appearances from:

Children’s Entertainer Nicky Flash
Blackpool Gang Show
And many more live music acts throughout the day plus a special performance at 3pm by Rob Perch, Northern England & Blackpool’s Strongest Man, who will demonstrate incredible feats of strength.
Children’s sandcastle building competition on the beach at 3.30pm & children’s colouring competition – fantastic VIP & unique prizes to be won.

Family Fun Day for North West Air Ambulance
11AM – 5PM – Preston Grasshoppers
This is a Family Fun Day raising money in aid of North West Air Ambulance Charity. We have 50 stalls, including a raffle, tombola and north west air ambulance have their own stall. We also have an outside Kids Fun Fair and Carnival Games. This event is free entry. There will also be refreshments available and the bar will be open.
Kids indoor activities include:
Vegan picnic in the park

Picnic in the park. Bring blankets, food, if you can bring food for others to try too that would be fantastic. Share recipes and have a good old chit chat. Kids welcome
Blackpool OM Fest
12 PM – 6PM – 476 Lytham Road Blackpool
In collaboration with Lancashire mind and the Blackpool time to change mental health hub we’ll be in the beautiful setting of The World Healing Centre for a day of taster sessions in a range of holistic well-being practices, including different forms of yoga, tai chi, mindfulness, music therapy, guided mantra meditation and more.
there will be vegan food and fresh fruit/veg juices available on the day, as well as a kids zone with arts, crafts, dance and play.

This is a free, family friendly event. We hope to see you there!
