After being home to Blackpool’s Saddest Christmas Tree – Layton is now LIT.

The lights were switched on by Local Comedian and star of this year’s big panto at the Grand Theatre for the greatest Pantomime ever told starring top Panto star Steve Royle (Britain’s Got Talent) as “Silly Billy” alongside TV favourites Hayley Tamaddon (Dancing on Ice, Emmerdale) and Philip Meeks (Emmerdale, Heartbeat, Doctors) as Panto Dame Nursie! It’s a fabulous, fairytale treat for all the family this festive season!

Crowds were also impressed by the mechanical Charity Organ which is always a firm favourite around Christmas.
Pete Marquis’ “Scrap King” sent along his Rola Cola Truck which is a full sized truck made to look a bit like the truck that belongs to a drink company…
The road was closed all the way down to The Layton which has gone all out and decorated the front of their building with a stunning Christmas Display.
There were stalls inside The Layton – like an indoor Christmas Market.
Stall-holders were dotted up and down Westcliffe drive selling everything from baked goods to Christmas Gifts and Trinkets.
Many people were enjoying a drink inside and outside Cask Micro pub.
Jack and Henri from Go Promo were walking up and down the street Advertising Hayley Tamaddon & Steve Royle Starring in Sleeping Beauty at The Grand Theatre.
There was even a chance for kids to speak to Santa who had flown in especially for the event.
Santa even brought 2 elves with him.
