Firefighters have tonight attended a blaze in a recycling skip at Blackpool’s Household Waste Recycling Centre on Bristol Avenue in Bispham.
The skip was closer to the exit of the waste recycling centre which is likely where full containers are held pending collection for transport to a different site.
It doesn’t appear that the usual customer facing areas have been affected however please check before bringing a car full of waste to the tip tomorrow only to find it’s still closed.

3 Water Pumps were in attendance as we arrived however the blaze had been easily managed and crews were damping down. A fourth fire pump attended but wasn’t required so returned in the direction of forest Gate Station.
