Bispham Bike Thief Threatens Paperboy With Stolen Glass Milkshake Bottle

This morning at around 7:30 AM a man was witnessed by shop workers taking items from a family ran shop and post office on Ashfield Road in Bispham, Blackpool.

The man can be seen taking items from the shop on CCTV footage from inside the shop. The man left the shop without offering payment.

After leaving the shop the man stole a bike belonging to a 15 year old boy who was at the shop to deliver papers. When confronted about the bike The man smashed a glass milkshake bottle that had been taken from the shop and used it to threaten the young boy.

The paperboy was understandably left shaken by the incident but was left with no physical injuries.

A spokesperson for News and Card Shop told the BPL Bible “Just sad that during these times people are still acting like this”

Social media response

After a post was shared on the Facebook page belonging to the shop in relation to the incident – many of the regulars and locals have stepped forward offering donations for the young paper boy in order to replace the stolen bike.

This demonstrates the generosity and true spirit of the local community in Bispham who are all feeling aggrieved by this sickening incident against a young child.
