Big bird in St. John’s square

A large pigeon made from recycled car parts has been sited in St. John’s Square in the town.

The artwork titled big bird is a one tonne pigeon created for an exhibit at the London museum called the beasts of London – which is on display in the town as part of the lightpool festival which begins this evening.

The artwork is created from parts of scrapped London taxis and is illuminated at night.

Mdm props is the company behind the statue who were commissioned for the build.

The lightpool festival will run now until the 30th of October featuring lit up installations across the resort celebrating the towns rich heritage of illumination and wonder!
