Blackpool’s very own Lightpool Festival kicks off tonight with a spectacular processional carnival along the promenade.
Tonight, October 25th, will be your chance to see the Carnival of the Lights. Setting off at 17:45, the procession is expected to reach Central Pier for 18:00 and will be joined by a variety of performers.
It’s too late now to book your place on one of the illuminated trams for the procession, but that just means that you can stand near the tram tracks with your camera at the ready if you are going to be a spectator. This is going to be an amazing opportunity to get some awesome photos of some of Blackpool’s best loved trams.
Joining the trams will be Spark! This is a high energy percussion group with illuminated instruments and costumes. The charismatic characters and captivating choreography and rhythms are sure to light up your evening.
The Lightpool festival will continue tomorrow with Rush and concludes on Saturday night with a grande finale!
