Emergency services were called to a road traffic accident at around 1pm on Saturday 26th January. A vehicle had been involved in a collision with a pickup truck on Blackpool Road and the driver of the car had become trapped.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue crews were able to free the driver from the vehicle and he was taken to hospital by ambulance. Thankfully both drivers were safely rescued and the driver of the vehicle is recovering from his injuries.
