Councillor Tony Williams is doing his best to raise awareness about the plight of the golf course green space threatened by redevelopent into an adrenaline park and glamping resort.
In a post on Facebook Cllr Williams urged people to get behind the scheme to save the green space from demise.

TIME IS RUNNING OUT
This council has refused to acknowledge requests from me regarding their intention to sell off half of our Stanley Park Golf Course to a developer who wants to build holiday log cabins on this beautiful large green space site. Emails have gone unanswered and it would appear nobody at the council wants to discuss the issue. The Labour leader Cllr. Lynn Williams (no relation) and her councillors have never mentioned the issue either in council or in the media as far as they are concerned its a done deal. WELL ITS NOT !
Along with thousands of residents in Blackpool, all the councillors in my team are supporting a petition to stop any planning application being approved. If the council are prepared to sell off this gorgeous area which park will they sell next ! it could be yours. Please log onto www.blackpoolgreenspaces.co.uk and sign the petition. This land belongs to the people of Blackpool the council has no right to sell off our heritage. Thank You and please share
What do you think about the proposal to turn this space into glamping pods and climbing walls?
