Is Rishi Riding Rollercoasters?

Yesterday the PM Rishi Sunak was spotted at Blackpool and the Fylde college meeting with local MP Paul Maynard and students. They were joined by Michael Gove, Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities and Minister for Intergovernmental Relations.

Rishi is in town for a meeting with the leaders of the Irish, Scottish and Welsh parliaments.

Asked by LBC about her meeting with Sunak, Nicola Sturgeon, Scotland’s First Minister said: “It was a cordial and constructive meeting.

“I think both of us want to try as hard as we can to build a good constructive working relationship. We’ve got deep political disagreements. I think we can all take that as read. But we’ve also got an obligation to work together in the interests of the people we serve.

“So I’m certainly keen to build that kind of relationship he says he is too so hopefully we’ll see that translate from rhetoric into reality.
There’s been in recent years, not just for the Scottish Government, but I think all of the devolved governments, a real lack of respect on the part of the UK Government.

Later in the day his motorcade was spotted travelling across the town arriving at the BLVD hotel around 5pm.

Film crews have been set up and broadcast live from outside the hotel whilst the PM is rumoured to have stayed overnight.

News teams were broadcasting live from the Promenade

It’s not clear if he will be posing for a pic on the beach like Boris did earlier this year for their spring conference – but I’m sure we will find out before breakfast.
This video of Boris running on the beach set to the Baywatch film will always be our lasting memory of Boris in Blackpool.

You can watch the moment the PMs car arrived at the hotel on the video posted by our roving reporter and host of Youtube channel A walk on the wild side – Stephen Cheatley. Would you believe it!!
