Fracking IS coming to the Fylde as site approved by government – Radio Wave

Despite protests and objections from local residents – It looks like We’re gonna get Fracked anyway.

Communities secretary Sajid Javid has today announced that the Preston New Road site just outside Blackpool is to be given the Go ahead for Fracking.

Cuadrilla (Spanish word meaning Gang) is the company behind the fracking initiative in the northwest and will be delighted at this news.

The last time a test frack occurred was at the preese hall site near weeton. A 2.1 magnitude tremor was felt by residents in the area and seismological equipment was placed around the fylde to monitor the situation afterwards.

The Lancashire County Council had already put a halt to plans to frack due to concerns over traffic on smaller roads in the area and other impacts. The County Council have been over-ruled and democracy will soon flow from the Fylde coast in the form Gas burn offs into the night.
