Bank Holiday Sunday – Rule the World – Take That tribute

The Showboat, Blackpool are thrilled to present an unforgettable Sunday gig series starting on Bank Holiday Sunday 9th April 2023. Get ready to be blown away by ‘Rule the World’, the ultimate tribute band to Take That, who are celebrating their 15th year of touring!
Widely recognized as the Number 1 Take That tribute act in the world, ‘Rule the World’ recently appeared on BBC1’s ‘The Graham Norton Show‘ alongside Nicole Kidman, Hugh Bonneville, Julie Walters, and the real Take That! Gary Barlow was left stunned by the lead singer’s performance, exclaiming, “He sounds like me!”
This incredible live vocal act will perform some of the best-loved hits made famous by Take That, including ‘Back for Good’, ‘Shine’ and many more. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience their electrifying performance at Ma Kelly’s Showboat.
The band has graced many prestigious events around the world, from performing at a private party for ‘Coldplay’ and their management team to appearing with the cast of ITV1’s ‘Emmerdale’. The Story Of Ireland visiting The Showboat during their U.K Tour on Bank Holiday Easter Monday ☘
The scene is set for a journey through the story of the Emerald Isle.
Through narration, poetry and song we are taken through Irish history from the Celtic times, through various famous historical moments, famous characters who helped shape the culture of the country, right up to the music we know and love over the last number of years when we hear stories of the Titanic build, the 1916 Rising, the forming of the Dubliners, and finding peace in Northern Ireland.
Music featured in the show include classics such as Danny Boy, Galway Bay, The Last Rose of Summer, Ill Take You Home Again Kathleen, Raglan Road as well as toe tappers such as Black Velvet Band, The Wild Rover, Seven Drunken Nights and many more. If you like Irish music, and all things Irish this show will pull on your heartstrings and make you smile in equal measure.
